My nohkompan also made baby wâspisonak (moss bags). All the babies in our family are in a moss bag when they are small, and it is a traditional practice with specific teachings.
I love learning how to do this, and tweaking it as I go. No two moss bags that I make are the same. Each one is made with love and good prayers for the baby that will end up in it.
